An amateur in photography. Novice really.
Trying to blog with a point and shoot of no great mega pixel. Camouflaging the bad lights. Hiding the extras. Unwillingly enhancing the pixels…ugh.. Who am I trying to fool?!!
Anyone remotely associated with a blog, especially a food blog, will know the importance of great phenomenal pictures. Food photography is as essential as the recipe and the write up. But, here I was so dejected and unconvinced. With every other admired blog clicks,I was growing increasingly despondent over the quality of my pictures. Viewing the prized shots with a desperate desire and longing to be able to reproduce “those” kind of images never leaves me. Tried a couple of photography tutorials… the interpretation of which left me all haphazard and still more clueless. I was all geared to give up but then decided to give it one more shot. Literally.
Armed with a box full of one of the most beautiful fruits on earth, I thought, I could not go much wrong with these tiny beauties. And I was right! On this lovely rainy fresh morning, I assemble the gear in one of my favorite corners of the house, the balcony, where my large french window opens up to the world. The sky is clear, the table is set, the camera ready, the light perfect.. and all I need to do is, go out and give my best shot. Hmmm…(they don’t call me a drama queen for no reason!)
The cherries cheered up my fading hazy countenance, brightened my humble efforts and showered me with silver linings.
So dear foodies, I do have interesting easy formulas for amazing amalgams and concoctions but here I am showing off my newly freshly acquired photography skills. So friends, show me some loveee!….:)
